               Update!   Old Photos Fill the New Grants-Milan History Book!

The Historical Society and the Cibola Beacon have just completed the long and loving process of creating a pictorial history book
to preserve the lost appearance of the local area over the past century - or more.  With support from Arcadia Press, this new book is one of their very popular "Images of America" series, with additional significance for interested readers across the state - which celebrated New Mexico's Centennial Year in 2012.  

 "Original" old photos of people, events, buildings, businesses, land, Main Street, the railroad, Route 66, aviation, and other memorable, distinctive historic scenes were submitted.  Each of these photos was scanned and returned to the owner, by the book project's organizers.  

The book has been published by Arcadia Press, and is available NOW from Arcadia at:
